This kit is professionally designed and passes the Canadian electrical standards.
The 12 solar panels together equal 4500 watts of power and produce an estimated total power production of 507kWh per month in summer and 271kWh per month in winter. We used lower Alberta to calculate our sun hours which effects the power production. The power production is directly related to the amount of sun hours and this varies throughout Canada. To see how many kWh you might produce in your location please use our “Solar Power Chart in Canada”
If you will be needing power all year round it is important to size the system for winter time. This kit is designed for all year round and can be customized by adding more components. The kit is customizable and being able to add batteries, panels, inverters and charge controllers easily, at anytime, is a huge bonus to this modular design.
At the heart of the system is a Magnum powercenter with a 120/240VAC split phase 4400W inverter that runs off a 48vdc battery bank, which is charged by your solar panels. The Magnum inverter is a quality pure sinewave that protects your electronics. To learn more about the magnum inverter please visit this link. All round the Magnum inverter kits have been super solid with an excellent vendor and warranty support. Be careful with cheap inverters because most are not well built and have heavy power consumptions with low quality pure sinewaves and very little technical support.
